Kilburn Nightingale have been involved in the design of a number of hotels, catering, restaurant and bar facilities.
We have a particular interest in the design of tourist facilities which cause minimum damaging impact on the host environment. This approach takes account of such issues as long-term sustainability, ecologically responsible choice of materials, low energy and water consumption, maximum use of local skills and materials and minimal visual intrusion.

Golden Tulip, Hilversum, the Netherlands
Kilburn Nightingale have designed a scheme for an eighty-five room
luxury resort hotel on Bonaire in the Dutch Antilles. |

Kilburn Nightingale were invited to prepare a masterplan for the
Grade I listed house and ancillary buildings in the historic gardens
of this prestigious hotel.
The project involves the construction of separate and partly autonomous suites of rooms almost entirely concealed in the existing landscape.
Using local traditional architecture and simple, modern technologies to create a resort that has minimal impact on the environment.
The new building on the shores of the island of Bequia has just been completed.
The primary space in the building is a library on the ground floor. Also accommodated are staff common rooms, offices and a student bar.
