Shahdara Eco-retreat, Pakistan

Sited in a national park in the Margala Hills on the outskirts of Islamabad, the Retreat comprises some 40 villas along with reception, restaurant, spa and conference facilities.

Developing from the traditional pattern of rural buildings set into the contours of the hills, the buildings will be largely concealed from view and covered in vegetation. Making the most of local materials and skills, interiors will be generous and contemporary in feel while affording fine views and a close affinity with the natural setting.
